The Spanish painter, sculptor, and graphic artist is one of the most important representatives of Surrealism. His work is famous for its dreamlike images, optical illusions, and enigmatic symbols, such as the iconic, melting clocks in “The Persistence of Memory.” Dalí combined classical painting techniques with visionary ideas and explored dreams, the subconscious, and the perception of reality. He became one of the most influential and well-known figures in 20th-century art.
